Real Artists Don't Starve

A friend at a small dinner party recommended I read Real Artists Don’t Starve. Two days later I finished the book.

I really loved it.

I’ve always thought of myself as an entrepreneur, but looking at it through the lens of an artist has intrigued me. I work on projects that are of interest to me. I’ve sold everything from software, real estate, spiritual training, and publishing education. And each project has felt like an art piece to me.

I loved “Real Artists Don’t Starve” because all the tips apply to entrepreneurs as well.

Jeff Goins walks you through the mindset of becoming a thriving artist, along with how to market and make money. He shares solid techniques that artists don’t talk about enough.

I’ve worked with artists and more business-minded entrepreneurs. All of them are entrepreneurs. And artists, musicians, writers, and creatives in general struggled the most because they often don’t focus on the difference between a starving artist and a thriving artist. This book walks them right through to becoming a real artist.
